Child Care Assessment and DA Support for Providence St. John’s Medical Center

BEI was retained by Providence St. John’s Medical Center to evaluate the needs for child care spaces associated with their new Phase 2 Master Plan or expansion of the hospital. The new Master Plan called for a new larger child care center. The City of Santa Monica, through a Development Agreement, required the hospital to provide child care services for employees and the community and to subsidize up to 25% of those spaces provided. The study included a survey of existing employees, including doctors’ use of child care on-site. The Center also provides mental health care services for children.
