Child Care Needs Assessment – (2007, 2012, 2017)
BEI has prepared three major Child Care Needs Assessments in Contra Costa County including a comprehensive study in 2006, with a focus on universal preschool, quality, and other measures. BEI was hired to update this analysis in 2012 and 2017 to meet the State’s needs assessment requirements. The studies included detailed supply and demand analysis for three age groups: infants, preschool and school age. In 2017, BEI prepared both a Provider Survey and a Stakeholder Survey regarding child care needs and detailed profiles of the studies results were prepared for each of the County’s cities/areas.
